On Being Small

By: Ymatruz | Filed under: |

Small size does not define who you are and what you can do.

B eing small is not a choice. You are born that way, accept it and live with it. Why worry about your
height when history proves even small people can be great and achieve anything.

It is  a fact of life that when you are small, people expect little things from you. But when you've done a great thing, people are amazed. If they make fun of your littleness, take it as a positive challenge that someday they will see your worth. The world is round, remember?  Keep this in mind. And as the saying goes, " Throw me to the wolfs and I'll return leading the pack." What a great feeling it would be when your critics realize that little did they know, "at times big things come in small packages."

Who says
she's glad to be a little fellow?
The underdog, feeling sad
High heels need to borrow.

Small people.
They can be great,
Like the noble St. Francis,
or the brave Bonaparte.

Who says
he's glad to be a small guy?
Feel socially isolated,
annoyed and teased by.

Discourage.
Whenever you wish to play
basketball, you can't shoot
as the crowd cheer nay.

Who says
she likes to be a small lady?
Can't reach no high
and be called roly-poly.

Uncomfortable.
By those irritating heels,
you wore and threw away
While you wait the pain to heal.
